ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP

Mintek offers learnership opportunities in various fields, but generally the following options are available:

• Electrical Engineering (Electronics or Process Control)
• Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)
• Chemistry (Geochemistry or Analytical)
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mining Engineer
• Physical Metallurgy
• Geology (majoring in one: Applied Geology/ Economic Geology/ Petrology/ Mineralogy)
• Materials Science
• Mathematics
• Physics

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Candidates interested in applying for this learnership position should ensure that they meet the following criteria – failure to meet ALL of these requirements will result in your application being denied.

• South African citizen
• Completed Matric
• Studying or completed a qualification in one of the above fields (at a South African Institute of Higher Learning)
• Achieved a minimum average of 60%
• Passed all courses studied
• Good command of the English language (able to read, write and speak English)
• Must be self-motivated
• Able to work well in a team
• Computer literate
• Willing to work
• Committed to learning
