Nomalanga Shabana is a 28-year-old South African actress born in Verulam in KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa. She was born on 30 November 1993. She is a multilingual speaker who can speak Zulu, IsiXhosa and English. Nomalanga attended Glenhaven Secondary School. After that she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education – TLE via the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Career of Nomalanga Shabane

Nomalanga appeared on films and dramas before her prominence. This includes a 2019 short film called The Letter Reader, which walked away with a Golden Horn accolade for Best Short Film at the South African Film and Television Awards. She acted as Nobuhle Mthembu. Again in 2019 she portrayed a female colleague on Love Lives Here. In 2021 she landed a role on Uzalo as Cocoa, a beautiful woman who is only after money. She’s a magosha and a gold digger

“Uzalo is the biggest show in Mzansi. I’m sure every youngster wishes to be part of it. What I like the most about it is that it discovered a lot of previously hidden talent. And it exposed talent and skills in youth. There are actors who are popular and have grown because of this telenovela. And I believe the Cocoa character will open a lot of doors for me,” said Nomalanga.
