Big Brother Titans auditions opened on Thursday, 6 October 2023 with organizers publishing an entry form along with eligibility requirements and submission guidelines.

This year, the popular reality TV competition will feature housemates from South Africa and Nigeria, according to a statement on DStv’s Mzansi Magic website.

To enter the Big Brother Titans auditions, simply visit the entry form online to submit a two-minute video about yourself. This means that before you start your application, you should already have this video saved on your device.

On the entry form, the first step is to accept the terms of use. Next, fill in your details, which include names, ID numbers, contact details, addresses, hobbies, occupations, images and next of kin, among others.

Click “Next” to proceed to the third step, which is to upload your video. And that’s it – click “Finish” to submit your entry.

However, before submitting your application, it is important to know the competition’s full terms and conditions. We have summarized the T&Cs below.

Eligibility requirements

The first eligibility requirement is that you must be at least 21 years old by 30 October 2022. Additionally, you must be a South African or Nigerian citizen or a permanent resident of either country.

You must have a valid identity document and be in excellent physical and mental health. “You must be willing to live in the Big Brother Titans house regardless of where it may be located, with approximately a dozen or more strangers where you will have little or no privacy,” the producers said.

“If you are chosen to live in the house, it is your responsibility to make any necessary arrangements with your employer and family in anticipation of your extended absence.”

Furthermore, you need to accept that the house will be fitted with audio and video recording devices that will record and broadcast your actions 24/7. This means that the show’s producers and the general public will observe you at all times via TV, internet and mobile devices.

Other eligibility requirements include:

• If you are selected by the producers for the next phase of the auditions, you must avail yourself for a possible video interview. Make sure your email address is correct to receive the potential interview invite.
• If you are selected for an interview, you must be willing to travel to Lagos if based in Nigeria and to Johannesburg if based in South Africa at the indicated time.
• If selected for an interview, you may be required to complete further application materials. These may include, among others, additional psychological and health questionnaires and a medical history form.
• If selected as a housemate, you may be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and undergo psychological and medical assessments.

Video submission guidelines

According to the producers, your video must adhere to the following guidelines:

• The video must be a maximum of three minutes in length.
• The video should end with you completing the sentence, “I would make a perfect housemate because…”
• The video must contain your name, email and phone number clearly stated.
• Avoid all forms of filters, special video effects, copyrighted music, and background music.
