The PSLE is a written examination, administered face-to-face and delivered through paper-pencil tests. All test-takers are presented with the same cognitive booklets or tests, which are aligned with the national curriculum. The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is a written test that certifies a student’s completion of primary education in Botswana. The Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has administered the PSLE annually since 2007. The PSLE serves several purposes, including:
