Buntu Petse is a 25-year-old South African actress born on 12 February 1997. She was born and raised in Soweto, Gauteng Province in South Africa. Buntu resettled to Johannesburg in 2020 where she is currently living. She studied Dramatic Arts and holds Honors Degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of Witwatersrand. Buntu came to prominence after being casted as Nontle on Generations: the Legacy. When she was asked about where she sees herself in 5 years, she said, She sees herself married with a child living in a home she owns. But most importantly she sees herself growing in acting.

Buntu Petse is still new in the acting industry. She made her debut appearance in the entertainment industry when she landed a presenting gig. The gig was on SABC 1 science and technology show called Teenagers On a Mission (TOMZ). This helped her to gain more experience in front of the camera.
In December 2019 She made her debut appearance on Generations: the legacy as Nontle Majola. This was her first television acting role and she believes she will grow to greater heights. She dreams of owning her own television series and would like to have a role of a detective on it.

From amplifying peer pressure to prohibiting genuine face-to-face interaction and social skills. It can be quite dangerous to the mental wellbeing of a young person,” she said speaking to IOL.
“Let go of the past, for it only brings sorrow, don’t stress for the future, it’ll only bring you to worry. Just take each day as it comes and show up for yourself.” She added. ³
