ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE
The GIBB bursary programme is seeking young talented students who have potential to become experts in the industry. Bursaries will be awarded to students that are studying towards an Engineering Degree (including Honours and Masters degrees), specialising in Civil Engineering.
The bursary will cover the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, travel costs and accommodation.
MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – SERVICE CONTRACT & RENEWABILITY
Students may be required to take part in practical training during vacations. Once students have graduated, they will be required to work for GIBB for the equal duration of bursary funding received.
Bursaries are renewable each year based on the students academic results, which should remain above 60% average.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying full-time towards a Civil Engineering qualification (Degree/ Honours/ Masters)
- In second year of study or onward
- Studying at a recognised South African University
