DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Duration: 1 year

SMC is offering a Logistics Internship at their Head Office in Johannesburg. During the programme, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s policies are followed at all times whilst handling the delivery and dispatch of goods.

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

• Ensuring goods are picked correctly
• Dispatching goods
• Receiving goods
• Ensuring customers queries are dealt with
• Partaking in stock take and reconciliation
• Ensuing stock is allocated correctly
• Performing daily administrative duties
• Ensuring POD’s are collected

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

• Education: Must have completed Matric (NSC)
• Must have a completed an NQF-6 / Diploma qualification in Logistics/Supply chain/ Warehouse (or relevant qualification)
• Must have at least 1-year of relevant work experience
• Must have knowledge of tracking system (advantageous)
• Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Offices
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work in a high-pressured environment
• Must have multi-tasking abilities
• Must have high attention to detail
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to work on your feet for the majority of the time
• Must be flexible
