Tiisetso Thoka is a South African actor and presenter who was born 16 June 1987. His age is 35 years old as of 2022. He was born and bred in Limpopo province in South Africa. Thoka is multilingual, he can speak atleast 10 South African languages. Besides speaking other languages, his home language is Sepedi.

His parents always wished him good in life. Thoka’s mother was a waitress while his father was an instructor at a village college.

Educational background

He studied law but he left it and pursued acting. His parents knew that he loves theatre while he was still at school. After finishing his studies he went for training that’s when he discovered law was not for him.

Career journey in acting

In the Mzansi Magic telenovela Isithembiso, he played the lead character Ali, for which he is well remembered. It was his first major television star turn.

A former YOTV broadcaster, he has since appeared as a guest star in a number of television shows, including the SABC1 soap opera Skeem Saam, the e.tv serial Gold Diggers, the SABC2 drama series Snake Park, the SABC1 criminal thriller Task Force, and the e.tv anthology drama series eKasi: Our Stories.

He starred in the Mzansi Magic drama series Nkululeko in 2017 as Mandla, one of Nkululeko’s sidekicks.

In the supernatural drama series The Herd on Mzansi Magic in 2018, he played the main herdsman Dingane.

He appears in the 2019 season of the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City as Siya, a handsome metrosexual man who enters into Mampho’s apartment to fill in for her regular roommate Rene while he is away for four months. He makes his debut on April 1st, 2019.
