ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
WSP are offering bursaries to current engineering and environmental students, particularly those studying within of the following fields:
- Civil Engineering (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- Electrical Engineering (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- Environmental Sciences (BSc / BSc (Honours))
- Mechanical Engineering (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
Students will be able to take up vacation work during the course of their studies and employment opportunities upon graduation.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
Civil Engineering Bursary:
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying towards a Civil Engineering Bachelor’s degree qualification (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- In your 2nd, 3rd or final year of study
- Achieved a minimum average of 65% AND passed all subjects for the 2020 academic year to date
- Studying at a recognised university in South Africa
- Passionate about Engineering
- Dedicated to your studies
- NOT in receipt of any other bursary or scholarship funding
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged students
Electrical Engineering Bursary:
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying towards an Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree qualification (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- In your 2nd, 3rd or final year of study
- Achieved a minimum average of 65% AND passed all subjects for the 2020 academic year to date
- Studying at a recognised university in South Africa
- Passionate about Engineering
- Dedicated to your studies
- NOT in receipt of any other bursary or scholarship funding
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged students
Environmental Sciences Bursary:
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying towards an Environmental Sciences Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science (Honours) qualification
- In your 3rd or Honours year of your BSc Environmental Sciences degree
- Achieved a minimum average of 75% AND passed all subjects for the 2020 academic year to date
- Studying at a recognised university in South Africa
- Passionate about Environmental Sciences
- Dedicated to your studies
- NOT in receipt of any other bursary or scholarship funding
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged students
Mechanical Engineering Bursary:
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying towards a Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree qualification (BEng / BSc (Eng) / BIng)
- In your 2nd, 3rd or final year of study
- Achieved a minimum average of 65% AND passed all subjects for the 2020 academic year to date
- Studying at a recognised university in South Africa
- Passionate about Engineering
- Dedicated to your studies
- NOT in receipt of any other bursary or scholarship funding
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged students
