About the scholarship
The Mandela Rhodes Scholarships Programme 2024 is open to all African students interested in pursuing a degree at any South African university.
This scholarship program, as well as covers tuition and registration costs specified by the institution’s study materials allowance, accommodation and meal allowances, a medical aid allowance, economy-class travel allowance, and personal allowance.

The Worth of Mandela Rhodes Scholarships
The Scholarship covers the following expenses for a Scholar:
- The institution’s tuition and registration costs;
- A MRF-determined study materials allowance;
- MRF-set accommodation and meal allowances;
- A medical assistance allowance determined by the MRF;
- Economy-class travel allowance for international Scholars solely from their home to their university at the start of their degree program and back home at the finish;
- Allowance for personal use.

Scholarship Period
Full financing is available for Honours (up to one year) or Masters degrees (up to a maximum of two years)
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for this scholarship program:
- Must be Africans
- They have finished their bachelor’s degree program.
- You must be between the ages of 19 and 30.
- Must have applied to any South African country for a programme of study.
- Must have good academic records.
